Taste of 2009 at La Rosiere: 3
Because our part of the Dordogne is dominated by two huge rivers - the mighty Dordogne and its no less impressive tributary, the Vezere - water activities such as canoeing, swimming, fishing, pleasure boating and relaxing on pretty river beaches are immensely popular with guests. In the summer months, the rivers are shallow and slow-moving and an ideal playground for all.
Link fun in the water to the world-famous prehistoric sites, wonderful medieval fortified towns and villages, stunning scenery, glorious weather, amazing food and wine and a wealth of entertainments for all ages and energy levels and you're almost guaranteed a holiday of a lifetime.
'Another lovely outing is to Limeuil where the Dordogne and Vezere rivers meet. Pebbly beach for paddling or swimming, shady picnic tables, restaurant or take-away baguettes - perfect! I went on an hour's canoe trip from Limeuil with my 5 year-old daughter, which was magical and fine for children, even little ones. Fiona, Peter, Joseph, Molly and Martha ... UK
ALL THESE ACTIVITIES AND LOCATIONS ARE JUST A FEW KILOMETRES FROM LA ROSIERE:
ENJOYING: relishing, liking, gratified, gladdened, delighted, overjoyed, charmed, at ease, satisfied, content, blest, blissful, overjoyed, enchanted, enraptured, rapt, captivated, transported, in heaven, in seventh heaven, in paradise, in clover, in a bed of roses, happy as the day is long ...
